The Client: Our client, a constantly evolving company, that deals with the rearing, slaughtering, processing and marketing of poultry (chicken, turkey), both fresh and frozen, as well as with the processing of pork and beef meat is looking to recruit a Chief Finance and Operations officer (CFOO) for its offices in Kokkinotrimithia, Cyprus
The Position: The CFOO - Chief Finance and Operations Officer will be responsible for managing all operational and financial aspects of the company including budget development, planning & reporting, accounting and overseeing activities to ensure safe and cost-effective management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall management of the accounting department, supervising the preparation of financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports, in accordance with company, statutory, legal and regulatory requirements and timetables for all its activities.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with deparmental managers to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
Responsible for the Company’s Cash Flow, preparing monthly and yearly budgets.
Liaison with external auditors for the planning and completion of the annual audit.
Overseeing monthly customer collections, setting targets for the Company.
Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective, including controlling company’s costs/ expenses and overseeing accounts receivable process.
Provide support to the Management in the area of forward work planning, strategic financial management, budgetary analysis and reporting.
Develop and set OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and KPIs (Key Performance indicators).
Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
Work closely with Management to create, implement and roll out plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems and company policies all designed to foster growth, profitably and efficiencies within the company.
Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, and all other professional business relationships.
Support all functions of the business to work together.
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA)
At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role is a must.
Excellent leadership, organizational and decision-making skills.
Strong business acumen and technical excellence.
Self-motivated and results driven.
Effective verbal and listening communications skills.
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office and Accounting Software
Excellent written and verbal knowledge of Greek and English.
Location: The position is for the client's offices in Kokkinotrimithia, Cyprus.
