The Team
The business valuations team work collaboratively with clients to value their businesses, shares, financial instruments and intangible assets. The clients rely on the company's valuation insights to make commercial decisions, execute transactions, resolve disputes and meet their investor and regulatory requirements.
The Position:
Our Client is looking for a driven individual to join as an Experienced Senior Associate - Business Valuation within their fast-growing team based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing financial models and projections from data
Deriving business, share and intangible asset valuations using various approaches and methodologies under the income, market and cost approaches of value
Performing benchmarking analysis such as conducting market research and peer/competitor analysis
Reviewing third party valuations and assessing the reasonableness of model assumptions including financial forecasts, discount rates, and value conclusions
Performing purchase price allocations and intangible asset valuations
Assisting in areas of business development (e.g. thought leadership, proposals etc), practice development (e.g. application of data analytics to deliver services to our clients) and future strategy (e.g. targeting new clients/ building capabilities in future growth areas)
Writing clear and concise reports
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Have at least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in valuations
Industry experience in Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, Industrial Products, Energy, Utilities, Mining Renewables or Consumer Products would be an advantage
ACA or CFA qualified would be an advantage
Hold a Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1 grade or equivalent) in Finance or a Science-related field) would be considered an advantage
Have experience with data and analysis tools (such as Python, Alteryx, Tableau or Power BI) would be considered an advantage
Be knowledgeable on valuation and financial principles, including excellent understanding of valuation methodologies and their application
Be proficient at building and using a discounted cash flow valuation model and have experience in financial or valuation models
Understand key drivers of profitability and financial resilience, and be able to integrate those drivers into a supportable valuation conclusion/opinion
Conduct and manage market research, quantitative and qualitative analyses, including the timely synthesis of complex data into meaningful insights
Can readily grasp analytical frameworks and employ them effectively to either qualitative or quantitative evidence
Excellent communication skills and be able to present complex issues in a clear and articulate way to a non-technical audience
Ability to multi-task across multiple assignments, prioritise workloads and work under time pressure
Strong interpersonal skills
Team orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and cares about continuous personal development
Be proficient in spoken and written English
Location: The position is for the Client’s offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
