Chief Financial Officer

The Client

Our client, a Company that operates in the Non Life field and offers all insurance products in the General Business is looking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer for its offices in Nicosia.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the Accounting Department to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, the regulatory framework, and internal risk management procedures
• Oversee payment processes, ensuring the proper implementation of relevant policies and controls
• Preparation and monitoring of cash flows, budgets, and forecasts
• Preparation of financial statements, management reports, financial and statistical reports
• Preparation of reports for supervisory and regulatory authorities
• Preparation of Reinsurance accounting and claims reports
• Support for the procedures of the Financial Management
• Collaboration with external and internal auditors
• Providing financial analysis and supporting management in business decision-making

Qualifications

• University Degree in Finance and Accounting or any other equivalent
• ACCA, ACA, or CPA certification, or any other equivalent qualification
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
• Fluent in English and Greek
• Excellent knowledge of accounting systems, MS Office & Internet applications
• Experience in the insurance industry will be considered an additional advantage
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements

Location

The position is based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
