Auditor

Our client is a well-established Audit, Tax, and Accounting firm based in Nicosia, known for providing high-quality professional services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. On their behalf, we are seeking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Auditor to join their Audit department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of audit engagements, ensuring compliance with international standards while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Audit Execution: Planning and performing audit engagements for a variety of clients in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
• Financial Statement Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Risk Assessment: Identifying and evaluating potential financial and operational risks, ensuring that internal controls are robust and effective.
• Tax Compliance: Assisting with the preparation and submission of tax returns (IR1, IR4, etc.) and ensuring VAT/VIES compliance for clients.
• Audit Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive audit files and working papers (utilizing software such as CaseWare) to support audit findings and conclusions.
• Client Communication: Acting as a primary point of contact for clients during the audit process, addressing queries and providing professional advice.
• Reporting: Reporting progress and significant findings to the Audit Manager or Director and assisting in the drafting of management letters.

Skills & Requirements:

• Academic Background: A University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional Qualification: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA) or at the final stages of a professional qualification.
• Experience: Up to 5 years of professional experience in an audit environment.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with audit software (e.g., CaseWare) and accounting software (e.g., Sage, E-soft).
• Languages: Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Location: 

The position is for the offices of the Company in Nicosia.
