IT Cloud Specialist

On behalf of our Client, a Banking Institution with headquarters in Nicosia, we are looking to recruit a IT Cloud Specialist to join their team.

The position

The Cloud Specialist is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing the bank’s cloud-based productivity and collaboration ecosystem, with a primary focus on MS Azure cloud services, MS Modern workspace (M365 platform,Security,Collaboration etc.) and other Software-as-a-Service platforms.

The role ensures that cloud services are configured according to industry best practices, compliant with regulatory and governance requirements, aligned with the bank’s security policies, and fully integrated with the bank’s broader technology landscape.

Duties and Responsibilities

Azure & Cloud Infrastructure

• Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure services such as compute, storage, networking, and PaaS workloads
• Strengthen cloud security by administering Azure AD, enforcing conditional access, and applying governance and compliance controls
• Monitor and maintain operational health using Azure Monitor, Defender, and Log Analytics to ensure stability and availability

SaaS & Microsoft 365 Management

• Administer enterprise SaaS platforms and ensure consistent identity, access, and configuration governance
• Oversee Microsoft 365 apps, Teams collaboration, and SharePoint Online architecture and permissions

Security, Compliance & Identity

• Implement cloud security controls aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements
• Configure DLP, conditional access, auditing, information protection, and identity governance
• Maintain RBAC, MFA, least-privilege access and alignment with on-prem identity systems

Operations & Support

• Monitor service health, performance and cloud adoption
• Provide 2nd/3rd-level support for cloud incidents and escalations
• Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and service optimization

 Automation & Governance

• Develop automation scripts and workflows; support low-code solutions (Power Platform)
• Maintain cloud governance standards, documentation, and architectural guidelines

Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology
• At least 2 years of experience in cloud administration, enterprise SaaS management, or modern workplace engineering.
• Solid knowledge of hybrid identity frameworks and integration between on-premises and cloud directory services.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and configuration management to streamline cloud operations and governance.
• Proven ability to collaborate across business units, IT security teams, and engineering/operations groups.
• Customer-focused mindset with commitment to service quality, operational reliability and continuous improvement.

• Fluency in English and Greek (required).
• Hybrid or on-site role with regular physical presence expected during the week.
• Candidates must be based in Cyprus or willing to relocate.

Location: The position is for the Client's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus
