Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Company

Our client, a real estate development company is looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial function in Limassol. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring financial sustainability of development projects, supporting investment decisions, and building effective financial processes to support the company’s growth.

The Position

The role includes leadership of key financial areas including Treasury, Accounting, and FP&A, as well as close collaboration with the executive team on strategic planning and business performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in line with business objectives
• Support the CEO and Board in strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
• Ensure financial sustainability and efficient capital allocation across development projects
• Lead and develop the finance team and establish strong financial governance and processes

Treasury Management

• Oversee cash flow management and liquidity planning across the company and projects
• Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions
• Structure and secure financing for development projects (bank loans, project finance, other funding instruments)
• Monitor debt structure and optimize financing costs

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
• Monitor financial performance of projects and the overall business
• Develop financial models for development projects and investment decisions
• Provide management with clear financial insights and performance reporting

Accounting & Financial Control

• Oversee accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements
• Manage audits and relationships with external auditors and advisors
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or similar)
• Strong background in real estate development, construction, or project-based businesses will be considered as advantage
• Experience with project financing, investment analysis, and financial structuring.
• Strong expertise in treasury, accounting, and FP&A
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and leadership skills
• Experience working with banks, investors, and financial institutions
• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CFA) are a plus

Location

The position is for the offices of the Company in Limassol.
