OVERVIEW
As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for spearheading the growth of businesses by sourcing and securing travel accounts to increase the profitability of the organization. This covers all sales channels including B2B and B2C.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Identify and acquire new customers and also ensure their profitability is maintained
● Actively contribute to the growth strategy and wider business plan of the company
● Supervise call plans of the sales team
● Identify potential corporate clients, assess their creditworthiness and target them for closure within a set timeframe
● Provide accurate forecasts and ensure that all subsidiary’s targets are met
● Manage and lead the sales and marketing team on all channels
● Develop, establish, and enforce goals, as well as, policies & procedures for the sales team
● Conduct weekly/monthly sales meetings and training
● Deal with clients’ complaints as a matter of urgency in accordance with company policy
● Define KRAs for your team in sync to the annual target provided
● Acquire Large Multinational Corporate Accounts and handling hardcore negotiations
● Stay updated with recent market/industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
● Set out a long-term, strategic sales and marketing vision for the company in line with growth objectives
● Analyze customer research, the market and competitor data and making recommendations that drive the growth of the brand
● Lead all marketing activities and measuring performance through developing appropriate marketing metrics
● Maintain, develop, and research potential new strategic relationships within the sector to help drive the growth of the brand
● Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness
● Prepare a budget for the sales team and a methodology to achieve it
● Prepare weekly and monthly reports
● Perform any other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION & CERTIFICATION
● First degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field. MBA or Professional membership/certification is an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
● At least 7 years’ professional experience in a similar role, with 4 years in a supervisory role
● Experience in the travel industry is an added advantage
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
● Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skill
