GENERAL MANAGER: TRADE, MECHANIZATION & MOTORS
(LADYBRAND)
Core purpose of the position:
To ensure strategic leadership, operational excellence and financial management across the Trade,
Mechanization and Motors divisions.
Minimum requirements:
Relevant B.Com degree or equivalent qualification;
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in agricultural management. (Retail and Mechanization
experience will be an advantage);
Minimum 5 years of experience at senior management level.
Skills:
Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English;
Strong commercial and business acumen;
Strategic planning and execution;
Strong leadership and people development skills;
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills;
Knowledge of inventory control, supply chain and procurement;
Analytical and computational skills and the ability to interpret reports;
Innovative and adaptable to market changes;
Results driven.
Responsibilities:
Provides overall guidance and support to Departments;
Strategic management of internal and external relationships;
Management of finances of divisions;
Ensures the optimal strategic positioning of Trade, Mechanization and Motors within the
marketplace.
