Job Title: Operational Manager West Region (Grain)

Description: The Operational Manager West (Grain) is responsible for overseeing grain operations across the West region, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant handling, storage and grading of grain. The role includes leadership of operational teams, implementation of quality and grading standards, risk and financial management, and delivery of projects and process improvements to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise day-to-day grain operating activities across the West region.
• Lead, develop and manage operations staff, including recruitment, performance management and training.
• Ensure accurate grain grading and quality control and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee risk management, safety and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Prepare, monitor and manage budgets and financial performance.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with suppliers, customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and an applicable diploma or degree.
• Minimum 5 years' management experience, preferably within the grain industry.
• Extensive experience in the grain industry and completed grain grading courses.
• Valid driver's license.
