Job Purpose
To manually bend pipes accurately to the required angles, shapes and dimensions in accordance with engineering drawings and production specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Manually bend pipes to specified angles, dimensions and configurations.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of pipe-bending angles, including 45°, 90° and other angles required for production.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements and bending specifications.
• Measure, mark and prepare pipes before bending.
• Calculate and allow for bending angles, dimensions and positioning to ensure accurate finished components.
• Use appropriate manual pipe-bending tools, equipment and measuring instruments.
• Check completed pipes for dimensional accuracy, correct angles and quality.
• Identify and correct bending inaccuracies where possible.
• Minimise material wastage and prevent pipe deformation during the bending process.
• Follow production instructions and meet required output targets.
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organised.
• Comply with all applicable health and safety requirements.
• CNC Pipe Bending experience NOT required
Minimum Requirements
• Previous hands-on experience in manual pipe bending.
• Good knowledge and practical understanding of pipe-bending angles.
• Ability to measure accurately and work with dimensions and angles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings or bending instructions.
• Familiarity with manual pipe-bending tools and equipment.
• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.
