Accountant - Reconciliation Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant – Reconciliation Officer with at least 2 years of experience in account reconciliations and proven expertise using the Methodos Reconciliation System (mandatory). This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client fund reconciliations against various payment methods, while also contributing to general bookkeeping and financial reporting activities

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of Client Funds vs Payment Methods (e.g., PSPs, banks, and other payment platforms)
• Use the Methodos Reconciliation System for all reconciliation tasks (mandatory)
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between client deposits, withdrawals, and payment providers
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records, including journal entries and general ledger updates
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper allocation of client funds and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare reconciliation reports highlighting outstanding items and potential issues
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in client funds reconciliations Client Funds vs Payment Methods - mandatory)
• Proven expertise with the Methodos Reconciliation System (mandatory)
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
