IT Support Engineer

Our client, a CySEC-regulated investment firm, provides cutting-edge financial and investment technology services to high-net-worth professional traders and institutions. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire a talented IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the company’s IT infrastructure, providing timely technical support, resolving IT-related issues, and collaborating closely with team members to continuously improve IT services. This position is essential to ensuring business continuity, reducing response times, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and proactive IT maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Strengthen IT service stability by providing reliable backup support
• Promote cross-training and knowledge sharing to enhance departmental resilience and operational efficiency
• Support IT workload management during high-demand periods or staff transitions
• Improve response times for IT issues, ensuring timely resolutions and minimal disruption to business operations
• Develop specialized expertise in areas such as network management, IT security, or user support to deliver focused and high-quality services
• Ensure continuity of IT operations during unexpected absences or team changes
• Contribute to the scalability of IT systems to support the company’s growth and evolving technology needs
• Enhance the quality of IT services through proactive system maintenance and effective problem-solving

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT Support Engineer role or similar technical position
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure and security best practices
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional will be considered as an advantage
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience in building scalable and secure systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong eye for detail
• Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to assess and resolve complex issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Fluency in English
