Location:  Lisbon, Portugal

Role: Russian speaking Geopolitical Research Analyst

Salary: 1,040 euro gross per month (this does include also the holiday bonus and meal allowance) plus free accommodation (so no cost for rent or utility bills). Package without company accommodation is 1,346 euro gross p/m

Working Hrs: 40 Hours per week (8 hours per day with an additional lunch break hour) on a rotational shift pattern between Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm.

Our client is a global outsourcing company – they have offices around the world and in Portugal they have multiple sites where they support large international clients and assist with business in more than 30 different languages, so you'd be joining a very multicultural environment. 

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated research professional to join our team. In this role, you will conduct in-depth research and analysis to help identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact our client's global operations, with a focus on geopolitical events and key developments in Russian-speaking regions. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a strong academic background in research and a passion for analyzing complex global issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive research on international and geopolitical events affecting Russian-speaking regions.
• Analyze and synthesize complex data from diverse sources into clear, actionable insights.
• Investigate and track emerging trends that may pose risks to online platforms.
• Review internet content, including material that may be inappropriate or explicit.
• Document research processes and findings in detailed, well-structured reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research priorities with business objectives.
• Evaluate and conceptualize strategic risks and threats to trust and safety on online platforms.
• Provide support for various workflows, products, or markets as required.

Requirements

• Fluent in Russian and English
• Have excellent analytical and research skills
• Have an eye for detail
• Have experience or education in political science, international relations, journalism, digital media, social research or related fields.
• Have previous research experience for media/educational institutes.
• Hav a good understanding of international and geopolitical events and their impacts on global businesses.
