Cosmos DBA

Role Summary:
Responsible for the administration, performance tuning, and optimization of Azure Cosmos DB environments across multiple APIs and workloads.

total 8 to 10 years, Do not consider profiles that are fully SQL oriented.

atleast 2 years in Cosmos and Mongo

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L3 support for Azure Cosmos DB (SQL, Mongo, Cassandra, or Gremlin API).
• Troubleshoot throughput, RU consumption, and partitioning issues.
• Optimize indexing, consistency levels, and query performance.
• Manage backup, restore, and DR configurations.
• Collaborate with developers on schema design and query tuning.
• Automate monitoring and alerting via Azure Monitor or Log Analytics.

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB architecture and data models.
• Experience with at least one non-SQL API (e.g., Mongo, Cassandra).
• Strong Azure CLI and PowerShell skills.
• Understanding of distributed databases and performance diagnostics.
