About the Role

We are looking for a Data Solution Architect to join our global team and play a pivotal role in advancing our in-house cloud-native data platform. This role acts as a Field Engineer, ensuring the adoption and success of our platform by engaging deeply with engineering teams, setting technical standards, and driving best practices across the organization.

You will work at the forefront of Big Data, Spark, and Lakehouse Architecture, collaborating with global teams in one of the world’s largest Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader, guiding engineering teams on data architecture, ingestion frameworks, and best practices.
• Develop reference architectures, how-to guides, and demo applications to scale adoption and implementation.
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to evaluate and select the best technology solutions.
• Support development teams in resolving complex data challenges.
• Collaborate extensively with business and technology stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.
• Advocate for a data-driven approach, ensuring measurable success of data programs.
• Implement best practices in systems integration, security, performance, and data management.
• Ensure data governance, compliance, and security best practices across all implementations.

What You Bring

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and Spark, with a passion for clean, maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with big data processing using Spark and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in data orchestration tools such as Airflow and Azure Data Factory. 
• Experience with data extraction from multiple sources (APIs, RDBMS, SAP, MongoDB, Oracle) with different ingestion methods (full, incremental, CDC).
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data services (Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for data solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including formal presentations and technical whiteboarding.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques and performance tuning for large-scale data systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in working with ML algorithms and transformations .

Bonus Points For

• Knowledge of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Kappa, Lambda, Data Warehousing).
• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in Python.
• Experience in optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide insightful code reviews.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a self-driven, autodidactic mindset.
• Good understanding of product development lifecycles.
• Availability for hybrid work.
