Position Applications Support / Development Specialist
Duration 18 months (extendable)
Location Doha, Qatar
Role Objective Responsible for delivering advanced technical support ensuring stability, performance, and
continuous improvement of Energy Components (EC) application that support critical sales
and hydrocarbon accounting business functions across the LNG value chain. The role requires strong technical expertise, domain knowledge, and close coordination with internal
stakeholders and solution vendors to deliver projects and provide support services.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to the successful and reliable delivery of system upgrades, enhancements, and
new functionality ensuring minimal disruption and in alignment with agreed timelines. Ensure ongoing support maintaining system availability, reliability, and performance. Act as the technical point of contact ensuring timely and effective issues resolution. Proactively monitor application performance, conduct root cause analysis, and drive
resolution of incidents in coordination with internal teams and external vendors. Maintain and continuously improve documentation related to system configurations,
support procedures, and known issues to support operational readiness.
Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in any of the following discipline(s) - Computer Engineering & Information
Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
Professional Experience 10+ years of experience in implementing and managing IT solutions. 5+ years of experience with implementation & support of EC Transport, Sales, Revenue
modules (preferably for an LNG organization). Recognized certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Azure/SQL, Certified Application Support
Specialist, or credentials in data visualization and reporting tools that demonstrate advanced expertise in IT service management, database technologies, application support, or data analytics are highly preferred.
Technical Skills Expertise in application development, configuration, and implementation. Strong understanding of software design, development, and testing practices. Skilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. Proficient in SQL, system integration, and working with databases. Experience in managing IT software projects and delivering technical solutions. Familiar with data analysis and visualization tools. Ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
Soft Skills Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Able to prioritize, adapt quickly, and manage time effectively. Comfortable conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Collaborative and effective in cross-functional team environments.
