Role Purpose:
Responsible for overall site construction management, coordination, and execution of all disciplines in the pipeline project including piping, offplot pipelines, steel structures, fiber optic and power cables, electrical, and instrumentation works. Ensures safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery in compliance with QE-LNG specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management: Lead the site construction team across all disciplines and subcontractors. Act as the single point of contact for all construction-related matters, reporting to Project Manager.
Planning & Coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary construction activities ensuring smooth interface among piping, pipeline, structural, E&I, and telecom scopes. Liaise with engineering, interface, QA/QC, and HSE departments to align construction deliverables and schedule.
Progress Monitoring: Drive daily, weekly, and monthly progress tracking against approved baseline. Proactively mitigate delays and enforce recovery plans where necessary.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, international standards (ASME, API, QE-LNG, DEP. etc.), and client requirements. Oversee inspections, testing, and acceptance processes across all disciplines.
Safety Leadership: Enforce zero-incident mindset and company/client HSE policies. Lead toolbox talks, safety walks, and actively promote safety culture at site.
Interface & Stakeholder Management: Manage interfaces from within disciplines and with Stakeholders. Represent the construction team in client and internal meetings.
Site Administration:Approve method statements, lifting plans, and site work permits. Review and validate subcontractor invoices based on verified progress.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - preferable Mechanical. 15+ years construction experience with minimum 5 years in pipeline or oil & gas projects in Qatar.
Strong multidisciplinary knowledge: Piping, pipeline, structural steel, E&I, FO cable installations.
Proven track record in EPC environment handling high-value, fast-track projects.
Solid understanding of project controls (schedule, cost), QA/QC protocols, and HSE leadership. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Client-facing experience is a must.
