POSITION:  Project Manager (Oil and Gas / Marine /Shipyard Industry)

OVERALL MISSION:

To ensure the Project is completed on program, with minimum cost expenditure, maximum value recovery, and safe working environment, and at the same time, providing the client with a quality product/ service ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage major projects and ensure the performance of the projects is in strict accordance with the drawings, plans, specifications, and budget.
• Manage the Cost Control activities and planning of all resources assigned to the projects, including budget allocation, and ensure that overall performance is in accordance with the project objectives.
• Ensure the project's compliance with the company's established policy and procedures, including HSE, Quality and Human Resources; its QMS/IMS certification, Qatari legislation, and client requirements.
• Ensure that continual safety vigilance and awareness is reinforced to all subordinates and ensure all works are performed to the highest standards of safety.
• Ensure all project activities are performed productively, according to specifications and schedule, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, and continually seek improvements in the work systems. Take the lead in Project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
• Ensure effective implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.
• Maintain a diary of the major activities, issues, and meeting details, etc.

• Ensure all company reports, schedules & documentation are completed accurately and on time. To apply engineering principles during the different project phases.       

• Contracts Management and follow-up of monthly valuations.
• Estimation of direct and indirect costs.
• Coordinate with the Client / Sub-Contractors on work priorities and schedules.
• Coordinate with the Inspector (s) in charge of the work to obtain their approval of the work after testing and discuss any areas of concern.
• Follow up non-conformance reports and confirm remedial actions are carried out.

• Liaise with the Project Controls / Quantity Surveyor for the measurement of completed works. To liaise with suppliers for approvals, deliveries, etc.

• To report to client, consultant and main contractor about work progress and any necessary modifications required on site. To attend different meetings as required.
• Ensure that works are in compliance with the project’s HSE plan at all times.
• Achieve and Exceed Business Objectives.
• Ensure completion of projects on time and within budget, follow up technical approvals of completed jobs to ensure on-time payment receipt.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Managing Director.
• Liaising with the quantity surveyor for the measurement of completed works.
• To implement HSE procedures, and HSE  objectives / Targets and to ensure its full compliance.
• To Implement Safety plans and ensure safe working environment.
• Implement Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
• Ensure effective functioning of all activities in compliance with HSE procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Preferably MMUP/UPDA certified with 15 years of relevant experience  in Marine and Oil & Gas.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to handle and execute the project schedules as per deadlines.
• Excellent Leadership skills to manage & implement requirements to meet project objectives
• Excellent Project management skills and ability to work in a contracting environment. 
• Excellent abilities in Team building, Delegation, Change management and Problem solving.
• Excellent adaptability to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
• Sound knowledge in Design Development Activity. Good knowledge of producing design drawings and calculations with time and cost constraints.
• Excellent communication, management, technical and leadership skills.
• Excellent knowledge of construction activities and Quality, Health Safety Management System.
• Skilled in preparing project budgets, manpower histograms, etc.
• Effectiveness in a high-pressure environment.
• Skilled in MS Office utilities. Excellent Interaction skills with internal & External customers, relevant parties etc.
