A Teaching Assistant is responsible for performing teaching or teaching-related duties to assist instructors, faculty members, department heads, College Dean. This involves assisting in teaching, advising, supervising, training, guiding and supporting students in all curricular and co-curricular activities, which include social and recreational activities. In addition to teaching activities, Teaching Assistant is required to assist faculty members /instructors in research activities as well as in activities related to the services provided by the university to its stakeholders. Teaching Assistant should have appropriate qualifications and experience to engage positively with the requirements of the work and should be able to adapt to the working hours.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support to faculty members /instructors to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment;
- Assists faculty members /instructors in the planning, preparation and implementation of daily teaching/learning activities;
- Assists faculty members /instructors in planning, preparing and developing various teaching aids for use in classroom;
- Assists in the planning, developing, delivering and management of practical activities in laboratories/studios/clinics/workshops;
- Conducts tutorials sessions to assist students, individually or in groups, to reinforce learning concepts;
- Assists faculty members /instructors in the proctoring of tests and examinations.
- Participates in college committees and carryout tasks assigned by College Dean, Head of Department and/ or Course Instructors;
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Helps students and researchers in the college in conducting experiments, research and projects;
- Assists faculty members /instructors in organizing and implementing internship/practicum programs;
- Assists faculty members/instructors in activities that are related to students advising;
- Assists in organizing and implementing co-curricular activities within the university or outside.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline Strong communication skills, adequate English proficiency Ability to use essential software applications and engage with the latest
- Learning/teaching tools. SUPERVISION:

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
