Field Civil Construction Supervisor
• Monitor civil activities and ensure adequate Contractor resources are allocated. • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the implementation of the Project QA/QC Plan. • Implement the Company Quality Assurance Plans through the checking, witnessing, and recording of the quality activities as described within the Plans. • Ensure that all construction activities are suitably documented. • Monitor as-built drawing preparation by the contractors to ensure that these are accurate and produced on time. • Report progress on the activities, versus the contractor's programs, and advise of any potential slippages. • Review and comment on the contractors planning related to Civil activities. • Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required. • Carryout daily checks on contractor’s staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with the project schedule. • Handle all aspects of Civil Construction activities. • Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions. • Ensures that the project construction work is carried out as per the assigned schedule and resolves all the construction problems on the spot, so as to improve the productivity. • Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to end user. • Accountable for supervising contractor’s work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems, and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing CCED safety standards on the work • Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality related matters. • Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters.
Education, Skills & Experience
Engineering, or Civil Engineering • Training in Six Sigma Methodologies • Minimum of 12 years of international experience in a broad range of job functions covering civil engineering and construction activities in support to the oil and gas industry. • Experience of operations in various environments including; Onshore / Remote / Harsh locations with challenging logistical issues. Experience of a wide range of civil engineering activities including the planning and executing of complex construction projects.
