Position: Field Electrical / Cathodic Protection Supervisor
Job Description:
• Reporting to Field Superintendent, will Provide technical support to projects and other disciplines within the company with regard to Electrical & Cathodic Protection (CP). Pre-commissioning & Commissioning of Electrical & Cathodic Protection Systems. FAT / SAT / Commissioning report generation for TR & other PSU & of whole CP. • Reviews Electrical & CP designs, specifying anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations and other design features on prepared drawings; ensuring optimum efficiency of Electrical & Cathodic Protection operations for avoiding pipeline corrosion, by reviewing the coating and wrapping deterioration trends. • Supervise the Electrical construction and installation. • The Supervisor will review and approve all on Electrical construction works with respect to the approved procedures and drawings for the project. • Review and verify project specifications, installation procedure, ITP, method statement drawings before start of work / activities. • Supervise Electrical Contractors during the execution of construction activities at construction site. • Participate in reviewing method statements, material requisitions, and etc. • Supervise and approve construction activities • Report progress on the activities, versus the contractor's programs, and advise of any potential slippages to the Head of Construction. • Review and comment on the contractors planning related to electrical activities. • Liaise closely with Operations personnel to ensure that they are kept fully informed of the contractor’s activities and that appropriate Operations input is obtained during the implementation of the work. • Carryout daily checks on contractor’s staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with the project schedule. • Handle all aspects of electrical Construction activities. • Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions. • Ensures that the project construction work is carried out as per the assigned schedule and resolves all the construction problems on the spot, so as to improve the productivity. • Participate In development of as-built drawings/documentation. • Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to end user. • Report to Company Construction Manager on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends, and recommendation for improvement. • Accountable for supervising contractor’s work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems, and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing Company safety standards on the work • Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality related matters. • Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters
Required Skills:
• Engineering or equivalent Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Electrical qualification. • Minimum experience required is 15 years as an Electrical / Cathodic Protection Supervisor responsible for inspection / construction of medium size to major EPC projects related to Oil and Gas industries. • Preferably on-the-job training in installing electrical and/or cathodic protection system and training courses in product technicality
