Senior Optical Network Engineer (DWDM)

Location: QATAR

Duration: 1 year (with prospects for full-time absorption)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer with expertise in Cisco DWDM technologies to join our team. The role involves designing, deploying, and supporting advanced optical transport solutions to meet the needs of large-scale enterprise and service provider networks.
 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience working with Cisco Optical/DWDM technologies.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco NCS and ONS platforms.
• Strong understanding of DWDM, ROADM, OTN, and optical multiplexing.
• Experience in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Optical, CCIE) are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and implement Cisco DWDM-based optical transport solutions.
• Support integration of ROADM, OTN, and IPoDWDM in customer networks.
• Conduct network assessments, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot complex optical transport issues and provide escalation support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Cisco experts, and customers to deliver successful projects.
