The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for providing strategic financial direction and stewardship to ensure the organization’s long-term financial health, sustainability, and growth. The CFO leads all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and risk management. This role partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align financial strategies with organizational objectives and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
1.Strategic Leadership •Develop and implement the organization’s financial strategy aligned with corporate vision and business goals. •Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial planning, investments, and growth opportunities. •Support long-term strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and expansion planning. 2.Financial Planning & Management •Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. •Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to optimize profitability and efficiency. •Oversee capital structure, funding strategies, and liquidity management. 3.Financial Reporting & Compliance •Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and executive reports. •Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulatory requirements. •Oversee tax planning, compliance, and coordination with external auditors. 4.Risk Management & Internal Controls •Establish and maintain robust internal control systems and financial governance frameworks. •Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies. •Ensure effective audit and compliance processes. 5.Stakeholder Management •Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities. •Present financial results and insights to the board and executive stakeholders. 6.Operational Excellence •Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and cost management. •Oversee ERP and financial technology platforms to enhance reporting and efficiency. 7.Team Leadership •Lead, develop, and mentor the finance and accounting team. •Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous professional development. •Oversee performance management by establishing, monitoring, and reviewing organizational and departmental KPIs, evaluating financial and operational results
Requirements Qualifications & Experience Skills •Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent are required •Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Proven experience in corporate financial management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. • Technical Proficiency: - Proficiency in financial software and ERP Platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel functions. - Strong expertise in financial modeling and advanced Excel.
