Primary functions: • Perform preventive and routine maintenance as per the maintenance plan (e.g., oil change, filter, belt, etc.). • Conduct major and minor repairs, inspections, and checklists for all equipment, including diesel engine overhauls, hydraulic cylinders, transmissions, air valves, and pneumatic cylinders. • Make repairs on engine components (petrol and diesel), including lubrication systems, fueling systems, tune-ups, cooling systems, and transmissions. • Work at both the workshop and project/construction sites as required. • Attend breakdowns reported by staff and equipment control immediately. • Ensure all preventive maintenance (mechanical) is conducted according to the defined system. • Report completion of tasks and indicate the need for additional maintenance to the appropriate personnel. • Train subordinates and provide technical guidance. • Obtain supervisor/foreman approval before making purchase requisitions and submitting to stores. • Follow all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the job responsibilities. • Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.
Qualifications/ Experience: • Age: 30–45 years, energetic, in good health, and with a strong personality. • English literacy: able to read, write, and speak English effectively. • Minimum of 10 years of field experience with a technical school certificate. • Gulf experience is an advantage. • Proven success in maintaining and repairing equipment within acceptable time frames and at minimum cost, following the PM plan. • Ability to work overtime and on weekends. • Ability to read drawings, schematics, reference manuals, and follow OEM recommendations.
