• Reporting functionally to the engineering manager & project manager in the matter related to projects, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned HSE engineering work scopes. • Carrying out HSE discipline work within a CONCEPT, FEED or DD project team, supporting the project team for project execution. • Planning, budgeting, organising, and controlling a segment of the HSE engineering deliverables for the project. • Prepare HSE deliverables for a project ensuring conformance to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures. • Ensure that all work is completed without compromising quality and is delivered according to the project schedule. • Provide direction and guidance on all HSE engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties. • Liaise with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion. • Always promote safe behaviour. • Provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline. • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and client representatives during all stages of design development. • Assist in the coordination of all activities related to HSE engineering design. • Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required. • Train the junior staff, if required in order to get the work done. • Foster a sense of team spirit within different departments • Communicate and relays information promptly • Budgeting skills need to be utilised to reduce costs without making adjustments that would affect the quality • Should be aware of the Project requirements and have realistic expectations for meeting the deadlines • Good leadership and supervisory skills should be displayed. • Should be able to manage clients, contractors and sub-contractors. • Should have thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of HSE engineering design and analysis. • Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards. • Should be Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for HSE engineering design. • Must have experience in Hazid, Hazop, SIL, SIMOP, QRA, HFE etc studies
