Job Title: Smart Meter Installation Supervisor

Location: Liberia 

Qualifications: 

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology.

Experience: 

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical distribution, prepaid meter installation, smart metering, or field operations.
• Previous experience supervising technicians or field teams.
• Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electricity meters.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel, mobile applications, and reporting tools.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Role Purpose:

The Installation Supervisor will manage and supervise smart meter installation teams and Sites, ensure quality and safety standards, monitor daily progress, and coordinate with project management, vendors, and the utility company.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Supervise and coordinate smart meter installation technicians across assigned areas.

• Allocate daily installation targets and monitor team performance.

• Ensure meters are installed correctly according to approved technical procedures.

• Verify meter serial numbers, consumer details, meter readings, and installation records.

• Ensure consumer indexing and installation data are recorded accurately.

• Monitor the use of tools, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures.

• Coordinate with survey engineers, technicians, vendors, and project management.

• Resolve field-level installation issues and report technical problems.

• Prepare daily progress reports, including meters installed, pending installations, failed installations, and reasons for delays.

• Ensure old meters, where applicable, are removed, recorded, and handed over according to utility procedures.

• Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline of installation teams.

• Ensure compliance with utility requirements and applicable electrical safety standards.

Required Skills

• Understanding of electrical safety and installation procedures.
• Ability to achieve daily installation targets.
• Accurate documentation and reporting.
• Willingness to travel and work in assigned field locations.
