Position: Business Development Manager (Sports Nutrition)

Location: Mira Road (Mumbai)

Reports to: Management Team

Role Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and business-oriented professional to lead the national sales and distribution expansion of our Sports Nutrition portfolio across India.

Key Requirements:

Sales & Distribution Development

• Develop and execute a national sales strategy for the Sports Nutrition portfolio.
• Identify, appoint, and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners across India.
• Expand the company's distribution network in major metro and Tier-1 cities.
• Drive revenue growth through effective channel management and market penetration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, gyms, fitness chains, and nutrition stores.

Business Development

• Explore and establish alternative sales channels including:
• Modern Trade
• E-commerce
• Marketplaces
• Gym chains
• Fitness centers
• Institutional sales
• Corporate wellness programs
• Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Product Development & Market Intelligence

• Work closely with management to identify market gaps and new product opportunities.
• Contribute to new product development initiatives to ensure commercial viability and revenue generation from launch.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and consumer preferences.

Territory Expansion

• Travel extensively across metro and major cities in India to:
• Appoint distributors
• Conduct business reviews
• Develop new markets
• Increase sales and brand visibility

Desired Candidate:

• Graduate in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
• MBA in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
• Experience managing a national sales portfolio.
• Understanding of product development and market research processes.
• Minimum 5–10 years of sales and business development experience.
• Proven experience in Sports Nutrition, Nutraceuticals, Health Supplements, Wellness Products, FMCG, or related industries.
• Strong network of distributors, dealers, retailers, gym chains, and fitness industry contacts across India.
