We are seeking an exceptional, high-performing VP Sales for North America to drive market penetration and accelerate growth in the U.S. This is a hands-on role for a proven hunter who thrives on building markets from the ground up, creating opportunities, and opening doors. The company is a global leader in real-time retail optimization operating across the U.S., LATAM, EMEA, and APAC, competing with industry leaders.
The ideal candidate possesses deep retail industry expertise, strong consultative selling skills, and a track record in selling complex, high-value software solutions to mid-enterprise customers. You will be responsible for generating new business, shaping our go-to-market approach, and establishing a strong presence in the U.S. We envision this person growing into a CRO role in the future, proving their ability to not just manage but truly build and lift our entire GTM motion.
Responsibilities: * Lead sales strategy and execution for North America, focusing on market penetration and revenue growth. * Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the mid-enterprise segment (average deal size: $80K-$100K). * Masterfully apply Gap Selling methodology to uncover client pain points and align our solutions, solving complex customer challenges. * Drive end-to-end sales cycles – from meticulous prospecting through contract negotiation. * Collaborate seamlessly with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful onboarding and continuous customer satisfaction, channeling crucial insights from the field. * Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, enhancing our market presence. * Bring enterprise-level value and expertise that we currently don't possess, significantly elevating our sales strategy. * Actively engage in daily customer work – calls, feedback loops, and an obsessive investigation of what works (and doesn’t).
Requirements: We're looking for a true "Pathfinder"—someone who is in the field, understanding products and partnerships, and clearing the path forward. This isn't a classic VP Sales focused solely on management; it's someone built for action and direct impact.
* Retail SaaS Expert: You bring 7–10+ years of proven success in software sales within the retail sector, particularly with ERP-integrated solutions. * U.S. Market Entry Maestro: You have successfully led market penetration into the U.S. from a smaller brand, demonstrating your ability to scale. * True Hunter: A self-starter with a strong hunter mentality, you excel at building pipeline and creating opportunities from scratch, without relying on established brand recognition or extensive inbound leads. * Solution Engineering Roots: You possess a strong consultative selling background, adept at uncovering needs and aligning solutions. Experience at top firms like Deloitte is a significant plus. * Technical Aptitude: You are comfortable discussing AI-based solutions, understanding ERP workflows, and navigating presales processes. * Startup Veteran: You've been inside early-stage startups, intimately know what this phase looks like, and have personally closed the first customers in previous companies—you *did* the motion, you didn't just manage it. * Educational Fit: Preferably holding a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management; familiarity with the Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodology is a strong advantage. * Bold & Energetic: You possess a bold, energetic, and persistent personality, able to open doors, handle sales friction, and challenge a tough CEO when needed. * Lone Wolf to Leader: You are comfortable operating as a "lone wolf" initially, yet possess the foundational leadership to scale into leading a small, high-performing team later. * Analytical & Agile: You are analytical yet agile, capable of operating effectively with limited budgets and modest marketing support. * Full Ownership: A self-starter with a full-ownership mindset; you push forward, create reality, and operate with no excuses or blame. * Execution-Driven: Your track record shows real execution and impact, not just leadership titles.
