SALES & MARKETING OFFICER

Job Title: Sales & Marketing Officer
Reports to: Head of Sales & Marketing / Business Development Lead
Location: Accra, Ghana (with field travel)

Job Purpose:

The Sales & Marketing Officer will be responsible for driving market growth and adoption of consumer-focused healthcare products. The officer will identify and develop new market opportunities, build strong customer and institutional relationships, and execute marketing campaigns that increase awareness, uptake, and loyalty. A solid understanding of healthcare systems, life & health insurance, and patient needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Market Development

• Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share
• Identify, prospect, and convert new consumer and corporate clients (SMEs, insurers, hospitals).
• Build relationships with insurance companies and healthcare providers to integrate products into benefit packages.
• Track sales performance and report monthly KPIs (revenue, clients onboarded, renewals).

2. Marketing & Brand Promotion

• Design and roll out marketing campaigns (digital, community, BTL activations) to promote consumer products.
• Develop promotional content tailored for different customer segments (youth, families, corporates, women).
• Represent the organisation at trade fairs, conferences, and stakeholder events.
• Work with product team to refine value propositions and marketing materials.

3. Customer Relationship Management

• Manage customer acquisition and onboarding processes.
• Provide after-sales support and gather customer feedback to improve products.
• Maintain CRM database of clients and prospects with accurate reporting.
• Champion loyalty and referral programs to boost retention.

4. Collaboration & Reporting

• Work to align sales efforts with technical rollouts.
• Provide regular market intelligence reports (competitor analysis, trends, consumer insights).
• Contribute to quarterly reviews of business development strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, or related field.
• 5-10+ years of sales/marketing experience in healthcare, insurance, or related consumer products.
• Strong understanding of health and life insurance products, healthcare services, and patient engagement.
• Proven track record in market development and sales growth.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, digital marketing platforms, and MS Office.
